Organizing Devices

Organize the devices on your account how you prefer by grouping them into a structure that makes sense for you and your account.

There are two levels in the structure within your account - Farms & Groups. Devices belong to groups and groups belong to farms. Create unlimited farms and within each farm, create unlimited groups. Devices can only belong to one group at a time.

Start by navigating to Farm Configuration Screen Shot 2024-05-28 at 5.49.58 PM on Valley 365 web app from the toolbar and begin creating the farms you want on the Farms tab.

By default your account will have a farm called "My Farm". This default farm will be indicated by the key icon. You cannot delete a default farm, but you can rename this farm or create additional farms. To rename, select the edit pencil next to the farm you wish to change, then type in the new name. To add a new farm, select the green 'add' button in the upper right hand corner of the page. Complete the details about the new farm, and select 'Save'.

Farms can be deleted once all groups within the farm are empty of devices. Deleted farms using the trash icon.

Once you have set up your farms, set up groups within each farm by navigating to the Groups tab. By default, each farm will have a default group called "Group 0". This default group is indicated by the key icon. You cannot delete a default group, but you can rename this group or create additional groups. To rename, select the edit pencil next to the group you wish to change, then type in the new name. To add a new group, select the green 'add' button in the upper right hand corner of the page. Complete the details about the new group, and select 'Save'.

Any time new devices are added or shared to your account, they will be placed in your default farm and it's default group. You can then move the devices to other groups.

Common organization of devices include by crop type, field manager, or area.
