Data Sharing

Allow another company or platform to access data from your Valley 365 account

If you are using Valley 365 and AgSense devices, it is likely that you are using other software to manage your farming operation. It may be beneficial for you to share ongoing data from Valley 365 to an external system in order to receive services from that vendor. A common use case for sharing continuous data would be when you want to combine irrigation data with input data from another system to understand ongoing operational costs across the farm.

In most cases, data from a standard Valley 365 report will be sufficient. This can be manually exported in a CSV format and combined with other data in excel for analysis.

When needed, Valley 365 provides a mechanism for you as the account owner to allow a 3rd party to access your device data. This will allow historical data from your devices to be shared via API to the connected partner's platform. To view which 3rd party partners currently have approval to access data from your account or to allow new access to an established partner, navigate to your account in Valley 365, then from Settings select the API Partners tab.

Screen Shot 2024-09-24 at 12.09.49 PMOnly once you provide this access consent, will data be allowed to share. Without the checkbox, no data is or can be shared outside Valley 365.

If you do not see the name of a vendor that you would like to share your data with on the list, then they are not currently a vetted partner. In this case, a representative from that company will need to request to become partner and only once the technical connections have been put in place will they then show on the partners page for your to allow access.

If you represent a 3rd party software provider with a mutual customer interested in sharing data, please contact Ashley Anderson at ashley.anderson@valmont.com for more details about becoming a partner.
